Hans-Joachim Schwenke sets new standards in contract design for start-ups, business angels and VC with a working group of the German Standards Setting Institute

The German Standards Setting Institute (GESSI) has set new, groundbreaking accents for a modernization push in participation agreements with its comprehensive, future-oriented standard contract “Financing Round”. The new agreement originates from a working group whose members were appointed by the GESSI partners Business Angels Netzwerk Deutschland (BAND) and Bundesverband Deutscher Startups.

The new standard contract will be made public in an online roadshow. The first event will take place on October 29, 2020. Attorney Dr. Wolfgang Weitnauer from Munich, as lead lawyer of the GESSI working group “Financing Round”, will be available for questions and answers. Notary Hans-Joachim Schwenke, resident at the Berlin office of Schwenke Schütz, will explain the notarial perspective. In the working group, he was the main driving force behind the notarial fee law.
